Every season I go bargain hunting for running shoes. There is always a good bargain on last year's models. I look for shoes I know and like, and shoes I would like to try. This time, I've picked up a pair of Saucony Xodus ISO 2. Since the Xodus is marketed as a premium trails shoe with max cushion and reinforced upper, I could not wait to run on them.

This is the 3rd generation of what quickly became Brook's the best trail shoe.  Not surprisingly, the new Caldera 3 performed well on the trails.
